Well, I made it another year. I cannot believe that it is 2010 already. When I was in high school I never believed that I could survive to the year 2000, and yet I have made it ten years beyond that. On December 31 I celebrated my 72nd birthday. It is so cool to know that the whole world celebrates my birthday (even if they don't know it!!) Today my husband has turned 73. For seven whole days we get to be the same age.
My birthday was a great day. I was able to speak with all of my six children, most of my twenty-five grandchildren and even one of my four great-grandchildren. My husband was so sweet, he asked if he could use my craft supplies to create a birthday card for me. It turned out so sweet, even though he was upset that it didn't look like any of the cards I create. But the thought was the thing and I appreciate his efforts because I know it shows his great love for me.
On February 1st we will celebrate Fifty years of wedded "bliss". Now I know you are all aware that not all of those years were truly "bliss", but just to have survived this long with someone so different from me is quite an accomplishment. I love his more each year and am so thrilled that he felt he loved me enough to want to share those years with me.
No pictures today. I am having some issues with my computer and am waiting for our son to arrive on Saturday to help me reformate my cpu. I have backed up the computer and it took four DVDs. So now I am ready to begin anew! Just like our marriage.
